06/09/2015 The Great Dorset Steam Fair

I spent a wonderful day at The Great Dorset Steam Fair on Sunday, I have been promising to visit for years and following a call from my sister on Saturday evening the decision was made.  I had heard all sorts of horror stories about traffic getting in so decided to leave earlyish.... so left the house at 8.20 am 8.50 I was parked up and heading to the entrance for breakfast of a Bacon Roll and a cuppa tea.

If you havent been to the Steam Fair put it in your diaries for next year its amazing, there really is something for everyone....

There is a wonderful programme of ring events, from monster trucks to falconry display, Heavy horses, more tractors than you can imagine, all sorts of vehicles, fairground,, crafts, food from all over the world and of course all sorts of Steam engines.

If you love all things Bygone then this really is the place to visit.  Thanks to Cathryn and Pete for a super day and coming up with the idea.  Already looking forward to next year.

I have posted some more images to the 'Great Dorset Steam Fair' Gallery.

10/10/2015 - Captivelight photography day

A wonderful day photographing critters at  a Captivelight Reptiles plus day in Bournemouth, If you love macro photography these days are a must.  The setups were excellent, with really good lighting and some wonderful creatures to photograph.

This little one was for me one of the stars of the day.   So cute and so tiny.  and of course there was everyones favourite ..... the red eye tree frog,.....

I have added more to the Reptiles and Amphibians gallery.

If you want to have a go at these yourself, have a look at the Captivelight website.
